The solid of HBO Max’s Dune prequel sequence now contains Vikings star Travis Fimmel.
Selection has confirmed that Travis Fimmel has joined Dune: The Sisterhood, the upcoming Dune prequel sequence that explores the origins of the Bene Gesserit. The actor has signed on to play Desmond Hart, a “charismatic soldier with an enigmatic previous, who seeks to achieve the Emperor’s belief on the expense of the Sisterhood.” His casting was first reported by The Illuminerdi.
The solid of Dune: The Sisterhood contains Emily Watson, Shirley Henderson, Indira Varma, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Faoileann Cunningham , Aoife Hinds and Chloe Lea. The sequence begins manufacturing later this month, capturing in Budapest, Hungary.
Diane Ademu-John is credited because the creator, author, co-showrunner and govt producer of Dune: The Sisterhood whereas Alison Schapker is serving as co-showrunner and govt producer on the HBO Max challenge. Johan Renck, one of many administrators behind the critically-acclaimed HBO sequence Chernobyl, is directing the pilot.
