Trailer Watch: Clarisse Albrecht Goes on the Run in Dominican Republic’s Oscar Entry “Bantú Mama”

The trailer for the Dominican Republic’s Oscar submission, “Bantú Mama,” has arrived. The drama tells the story of Emma (Clarisse Albrecht), a French girl of African descent who’s on the run and making an attempt to elude Dominican authorities after narrowly escaping arrest. “If you happen to assist me, I’ll enable you,” she’s informed by a younger lady bargaining for mutual safety and survival in probably the most harmful district of Santo Domingo.
