Followers of Blink-182 have been shocked this week when Tom DeLonge introduced he was rejoining the band, with the unique lineup to document a brand new album and hit the highway for a world tour.
The band made it official with a tongue-in-cheek video launched on Tuesday.
DeLonge initially exited in 2005, however returned in 2009; he left once more in 2015, with Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio stepping in after DeLonge was out of the image.
Now that DeLonge has reunited with Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker, Skiba’s function within the band has formally vanished, one thing that DeLonge acknowledged with a gratitude-filled open letter to Skiba that he shared through Instagram on Thursday.
