Local weather activist group Tyre Extinguishers stated in a press release that it had deflated almost 900 SUVs the world over, hitting 4x4s in cities together with New York and Amsterdam.

Its members deflated tires on nearly 900 polluting SUVs in eight international locations on November 28 and 29, in keeping with the assertion. “That is the largest coordinated international motion towards high-carbon autos in historical past, with many extra to come back.”

The group stated it deflated tires on 52 SUVs within the Dumbo and Brooklyn Heights space of New York Metropolis this week. It has claimed duty for hitting 4x4s in Pittsburgh and San Francisco previously.

 

Tyre Extinguishers started its marketing campaign of focusing on 4x4s in March, when it stated it struck SUVs in 13 cities within the UK.
