The rock band The Neighbourhood introduced Sunday night that they’ve ousted their drummer, Brandon Fried, after being accused of groping María Zardoya, of the band The Marias.
The primary allegation got here Sunday when Zardoya took to her Instagram story to stage an allegation towards Fried.
“I was at a bar final night time, and i used to be groped beneath the desk by brandon fried, the drummer of the neighbourhood. it was some of the uncomfortable issues i’ve ever skilled. i felt an invasion of my house, privateness and physique,” Zardoya wrote.

Shortly thereafter, The Neighbourhood took to its Instagram story to disclose that Fried had been fired from the band.
“We’re grateful to Maria for coming ahead. We now have zero tolerance for any form of inappropriate behaviour in the direction of ladies,” the wrote. “Because of Brandon’s actions, he’ll now not be a member of The Neighbourhood.”

Minutes after that, Fried shared a message apologizing for his actions and blamed his behaviour on substance abuse issues.
“I’m so terribly sorry to Maria. My actions had been inexcusable and insupportable,” Fried wrote. “They aren’t reflective of who I’m as an individual, however clearly a mirrored image of who I develop into whereas beneath the affect.”
“It’s evident that I need to tackle my issues with alcohol and substance abuse, which I’m now in search of assist for,” he continued. “I wish to apologize to ladies who’ve been victims of any behaviour that has left them feeling uncomfortable or violated. I’m so sorry to The Neighbourhood and our followers for letting them down.”

This newest drama comes on elevated consideration directed on the band amid lead singer Jesse Rutherford’s burgeoning romance with Billie Eilish.
