Moonlight Amphitheatre will partner with Vista City Hall and Moonlight Amphitheatre to present “Jingle Terrace Park Live,” an event featuring all the lighting and display components of its famous “Jingle Terrace Park” pandemic into an amphitheater venue for free.
Visitors will drive a one-mile loop through Brengle Terrace Park to see various sections depicting iconic Vista landmarks and Recreation & Community Services programs while supporting the San Diego Food Bank by collecting canned goods from attendees.
This holiday light display boasts over 28,000 lights and 14 blow-up figures. Open 5-10 pm Sunday-Thursday and 5-11 pm Friday/Saturday evening; admission is free; parking can be found in the lot located between First Avenue and Mankato Streets.
Jingle Terrace Park will feature light shows, holiday refreshments, family activities, and photo opps every night of December in Jingle Terrace Park. Donations of canned meats, canned vegetables, dried fruits & beans, pasta/rice/peanut butter/jam are encouraged and will help support these festive evening events!
Jingle Terrace Park will take place from Dec 5 – 28 at 1200 Vale Terrace Drive and will run each evening from 6-10 pm, offering free family entertainment. Partnered with San Diego Food Bank to collect donations each night from 6-10 pm; donations can be dropped off at either of two gates near its entrance; also located is a donation station near it for convenient drop-off. The City of Vista and Moonlight Amphitheatre have joined forces with the County of San Diego to provide this COVID-19-safe entertainment experience for North County families.
In 2020 and 2021, Brengle Terrace Park played host to Jingle Terrace Park – a holiday drive-thru experience designed to entertain North County families while meeting COVID-19 safety guidelines. For 2022, Moonlight Stage Productions has collaborated with Vista City Hall to reimagine this event into JINGLE TERRACE LIVE! Bringing all elements of Jingle Terrace Park inside The Moonlight Amphitheatre for this experience has transformed it into something truly memorable!
Jingle Terrace Live admission is free. However, guests are asked to donate canned meats, fruits, peanut butter, paste, and cereal items each night of the show to support local communities. Donations will be collected at food donation stations during each performance night of Jingle Terrace Live; sponsors include Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soaps, Moonlight Cultural Foundation’s new nonprofit Friends of Vista, which supports Vista Recreation & Community Services programs, as well as Dudek Construction.
In 2021 and 2022, Vista hosted a drive-thru holiday lights event to benefit nonprofit organizations like North County Food Bank. Held annually at Brengle Terrace Park and featuring sections depicting iconic Vista landmarks as well as Recreation & Community Services programs of Vista City Hall; now known as Jingle and Mingle and accessible for attendance!
This year’s event will offer more than just lights; guests will enjoy holiday refreshments, family activities, and photo ops at this festive gathering. Donations to the Food Bank can also be collected on-site each night of the show.
Moonlight Stage Productions, which has produced Jingle and Mingle before, will collaborate with Vista City Hall in making this year’s Jingle and Mingle event from December 5 through 28. Their services provide event management and lighting design for public and private events alike, so this event will feature different sections that represent iconic Vista landmarks.
This year’s event will showcase a brand-new story based on Dr. Seuss’ classic children’s book about an evil green Grinch who plots to steal Christmas from Whoville citizens. Jim Carrey and Taylor Momsen star in this live-action adaptation set for release this November and already received positive reviews from critics and audiences alike.
Vista’s City of Vista is hosting an exciting holiday event to ensure families can celebrate COVID-19-safe celebrations this December 5-28: a drive-thru holiday light show featuring festive displays that represent iconic Vista landmarks. It will take place at Brengle Terrace Park.
Visitors will drive along a one-mile loop to view light displays that represent landmarks or City Recreation and Community Services programs, while some areas highlight specific programs offered. Furthermore, all proceeds raised from this display will go directly towards supporting North County Food Bank.
Each night will feature live entertainment and photo ops with Santa and Mrs. Claus, as well as a food truck serving hot chocolate and other beverages. Furthermore, The Lights of Christmas will also be displayed on a giant LED wall at each event.
Moonlight Stage Productions will bring its famous “Jingle Terrace Park” drive-thru experience from 2020 and 2021 to the Moonlight Amphitheatre this year, opening it to the public every evening from December 8-23.
Admission and activities at each night’s event are both free, including light shows, holiday refreshments, family activities, and live entertainment. Donations of canned meats, vegetables and fruit, peanut butter, canned soups/pastes/cereal/oatmeal/pasta, and rice would also be greatly appreciated.
Moonlight Stage Productions will partner with Vista City Hall to host this year’s event, replacing Jingle Terrace Park, which had to be canceled due to a pandemic outbreak in 2020. They anticipate raising over $21,000 for their local Food Bank with this initiative.
