New York-headquartered Reservoir Media has acquired the catalog of legendary songwriter and recording artist Louis Prima from the Gia Maione Prima Basis.
The deal, for an undisclosed sum, contains rights to each Prima’s publishing and recorded music catalogs.
As a singer, songwriter, trumpeter, and actor, Prima is considered some of the profitable entertainers of the massive band jazz period.
He wrote and recorded hits, together with the well-known huge band swing music, Sing, Sing, Sing.
