Puma CEO Bjorn Gulden in talks to succeed Kasper Rorsted as Adidas chief

Adidas introduced Friday that it’s in talks with Bjorn Gulden, the departing CEO of Puma, to succeed Kasper Rorsted as its chief government.
Rorsted, who has helmed Adidas since 2016, unexpectedly introduced his departure in August. He plans to go away Adidas someday throughout 2023, after a successor is formally appointed.
Gulden, in the meantime, is concurrently ending his tenure at Puma. His membership on Puma’s administration board expires on the finish of 2022, and Puma on Thursday introduced that Arne Freundt can be taking his place as Puma’s chief.
Adidas confirmed the talks with Gulden as a possible successor, however declined to remark past that launch. Puma declined to remark.
Adidas has confronted a current public relations disaster in its dealings with Ye, previously often known as Kanye West. The corporate terminated its partnership with Ye’s Yeezy model after a collection of antisemitic remarks from the rapper.
Adidas and Puma have roots in twentieth century Germany. They have been based by brothers Adi and Rudi Dassler, who went into enterprise collectively in 1919. They turned rivals and broke off after World Warfare II to start out Adidas and Puma, respectively.
