Moore Norman Technology Center serves students from Moore, Norman, and south Oklahoma City communities with two campuses – Franklin Road Campus and South Penn Campus.

Tuition and fees at Oklahoma College are some of the lowest in Oklahoma, while they’re renowned for offering scholarships and financial aid programs.

MNTC’s Trucking Program

Moore Norman Technology Center’s Trucking program is designed to prepare students for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Students spend 23-28 days receiving classroom and hands-on instruction, covering topics like truck components and inspections, cost-efficient operation, driving skills training, paperwork filing requirements, safety, and health – among others – until graduation when graduates can start careers with local and over-the-road carriers alike. MNTC’s Trucking Program is one of the top-rated vocational schools in Oklahoma. Offering full-time and part-time courses to high school students and adults, their classes are cost-effective, with financial aid available for those requiring it. Furthermore, students receive free career advice and health certification testing through MNCT’s trucking program.

School programs at Oklahoma Tech include auto service and maintenance, entrepreneurship, audio-video technology communications, business management, and more. Oklahoma Tech Center District recognized them with six Gold Star awards. At the same time, students from its school won numerous scholarships, including Cox Connects Foundation Scholarship and OAMCTE Renae Washington & Lorine Dubois Scholarship, among many more.

MNTC supports several student clubs and organizations, such as Health Occupations Students of America, Business Professionals of America, and DECA/DEX. Furthermore, leadership workshops for students with disabilities are regularly hosted in addition to hosting an institute-sponsored summer youth academy for kids.

MNTC applicants must submit an enrollment application, personal statement, copy of high school transcript or GED certificate and pay an application fee before meeting with an MNTC representative for interview purposes. Students must also fill out a FAFSA each year; qualifying students can receive grants, work-study positions, and federal loans as financial assistance options.

MNTC’s CDL Program

MNTC offers a truck driving training program to assist students in attaining a commercial driver’s license (CDL). Truck driving is one of the most significant employment options and pays well while opening up career possibilities within the transportation industry. Training will begin in January at the Franklin Road Campus of MNTC.

After graduating, students will receive a six-month certificate from MNTC, including classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training. For $800, students who complete all 10 goal areas will earn an MnTC transcript noting this achievement; credits from this transcript may transfer directly into other Minnesota State institutions on a course-by-course basis.

MnTC provides courses designed to prepare students for university study, professional business consultation, and training services to area companies and serves communities throughout Moore, Norman, and south Oklahoma City.

Adults looking for career preparation or personal enrichment classes will also find assistance at this college, while students who qualify can take advantage of its financial aid program; most will be eligible for federal grants and loans to cover the costs of education; students can apply each year; some schools have deadlines set forth when applying for aid.

MNTC provides over 30 career programs and hundreds of short-term courses for hands-on education. These classes can provide benefits such as career advisement, health certification testing, access to scholarships, and job placement assistance for their students.

The college is widely respected for providing high-quality programs in business, management administration and computer technology, arts, architecture and construction, audio-video technology communications manufacturing, transportation, and manufacturing processes. Students include both high schoolers, as well as full-time adult students, enrolled full time. It has won several awards, including Oklahoma Quality Award.

MNTC also provides personal enrichment courses that meet high school students’ state and federal education requirements, such as math, science, and language arts classes. Many evening and online courses can also be found here where students can choose among subjects like foreign languages or computer programming.

Most MNTC courses can satisfy Liberal Arts & Sciences goal areas for Associate of Science or Associate of Applied Science degrees; however, each institution may have slightly differing distribution requirements; students should consult their advisor to select course combinations most suited for them.

MNTC’s financial aid programs are incredibly generous. Students eligible can apply for grants, work-study opportunities, scholarships, and loans – including grants, work-study arrangements, scholarship funding, and loans – by filling out and submitting the FAFSA early and earning at least a 2.5 GPA to be considered for any aid packages available from MNTC.
