Once a test run has been completed successfully, its edit page allows you to close it for future reference or regression testing. Each run can also be linked directly with its associated test case in Jira; any updates in Jira will automatically update trail results accordingly.

Test Milestone Management

TestRail offers features such as milestones, test runs, and reports to make testing processes more efficient. Users can utilize different testing methodologies like Agile Testing, Automation Testing, and Exploratory Testing with it. Testers can create detailed project plans before recording test run results synchronizing with Jira for seamless collaboration between development and testing teams.

Once a test plan is in place, developers can use it as a specification for their developing product. When the build is ready for release, a test run is conducted, and its result is logged in TestRail; once complete, this can then be used by Jira to create defects based on this test result.

TestRail’s dashboard gives users an overview of available projects, recent project activities, and any assigned tasks. From here, they can select any project view to arrive at its overview page, which displays active test cases, test runs, and other activities within that project.
