NEW YORK (Reuters) – A federal jury in Manhattan on Friday convicted a Colorado man who was charged together with former Donald Trump adviser Steve Bannon with defrauding donors to an internet marketing campaign to construct a wall alongside the U.S.-Mexico border.
Timothy Shea, of Citadel Rock, Colorado, was convicted on two conspiracy counts and one rely of obstruction of justice after a one-week trial. An earlier trial led to June in a hung jury.
A lawyer for Shea didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.
Shea and Bannon had been charged in August 2020 over their alleged roles within the “We Construct the Wall” marketing campaign, which prosecutors mentioned raised greater than $25 million from a whole lot of 1000’s of donors to assist Trump construct his signature wall.
