Everytime you hear hate speech or one thing derogatory about another person … We’re all human issues. I don’t give a fuck in case you’re Jewish, Black, quiet, tutti frutti  Tuttie fruttie, I don’t care! Right here’s the trick: silence is complicity. … I’m standing right here tonight loudly and proudly and in solidarity with Allen, his household, all of my Jewish pals and your entire Jewish individuals of the world. Fuck Antisemitism and fuck anyone who says something in that method.”

Grubman, who Mellencamp described as a “true mentch,” later revealed to reporters that he was not clued into the speech upfront. “I had no concept what he was gonna say; he needed to maintain it secret,” mentioned Grubman, including that the Rock Corridor had requested a replica of the notes written for the night time to be displayed within the museum.
