Jessie Reyez is grateful for the collaboration of a lifetime.

The Canadian musician is without doubt one of the featured artists on Sam Smith’s upcoming album Gloria, on the monitor “Excellent”. It’s an expertise she felt “fortunate” to have as a giant fan of the singer.

“Effectively, we related a very long time in the past by means of Calvin Harris. I do know Calvin. Proper. And you recognize, when there’s chemistry, as soon as there’s chemistry at all times,” Reyez recalled to ET Canada. “So it was simply very nice to have the ability to reconnect with them and and vibe and write. And I’m simply actually fortunate to work with those that I’m legitimately a fan of.”

As for the way the expertise went, the 31-year-old known as Smith’s vocal expertise “nuts.”

“Like, their voice is nuts, their voice is loopy. And to have the ability to sit in a room and listen to it with out… as a result of clearly, like engineers are nice, thank God for nice engineers that may regulate and nudge and repair just a little little bit of this, just a little little bit of that,” she defined. “However for somebody to have the ability to make the room replenish with resonance, not everyone can try this and Sam can try this.”
