DragonForce
Goldfield Trading Post Roseville is an emerging music venue that is helping revitalize Roseville’s downtown entertainment scene. Showcasing local artists, up-and-coming acts from around the country, dining options, and cold brews – making this venue perfect for an enjoyable night out with friends or family members! Having a capacity of 300 seats, it typically fills every time there’s a show scheduled here.
DragonForce, formed in 1999 in America and touring since, has won multiple awards and has become one of the biggest metal bands. Their fast dual guitar sound, often described by fans as “bleepy” or having quick pitch bends, has also earned them praise from critics and peers alike. Recently in an interview, members of this band revealed their music draws its inspiration from video games and electronic media such as movies or music streaming services.
Valley of the Damned was released in 2003 to critical acclaim and was followed by an album tour to support it. Since then, they have performed with various notable metal acts like W.A.S.P, Iron Maiden, Disturbed, and Babymetal, along with performing at festivals like Mayhem Festival, Two Days A Week Festival, Loud Park Festival, Metal Days Slovenia Benatska! in the Czech Republic.
In 2008, Sonic Firestorm became their third album and an instantaneous critical success, charting at number 13 on the Billboard 200 chart. Additionally, this album included “Through the Fire and Flames,” used as the central theme in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock videogame. Reissued with bonus tracks and a DVD featuring live footage and commentary in 2010, this re-release brought even greater success for this band.
This album marks a departure from prior releases; instead of using explosive pyrotechnics to drive their music forward, this new one features more subdued guitar work that still exudes creativity while lacking some of the extra flourishes found on previous records – making this album especially welcome among mature fans of the band.
Crumb
Goldfield in Roseville is one of the area’s premiere entertainment venues, featuring both national and local beers, live music performances every night of the week, two-floor seating that gives everyone an excellent view of the stage, as well as offering access to all types of musical genres (rock to country to metal to tribute bands!). There’s something here for every music fan!
Terry Zwigoff’s documentary Crumb is an eye-opening portrait of Robert Crumb and his family, featuring interviews with his brothers, wife, and in-laws. While some aspects of their behavior can sometimes be disturbing, they provide insight into mental illness. A must-see documentary for any art lover or student of American culture.
Crumb’s debut album, Jinx, showcased their signature blend of psychedelic rock music; their second record, Ice Melt, delves deeper into this territory with even more reflective compositions from Lila Ramani that explore themes such as belonging (“Retreat!”) or how strawberry seeds act like shoes on her feet (“BNR”). Her lyrics provide insights that work like internal monologues when people-watching.
Crumb’s set was marked by moments of upbeat energy at its conclusion when they played “Fall,” their encore number that gave listeners one last opportunity to express themselves through dancing before heading home or back to sleep. All told, their set left an hour of haunting musical memories that still echo within listeners’ heads – conveniently purchasing tickets online through Ticketmaster is safe and straightforward for Goldfield Trading Post – Roseville events! The Winery Dogs
The Winery Dogs are an exciting power trio comprised of drummer Mike Portnoy, bassist Billy Sheehan, and guitarist Richie Kotzen. Recently released was their album III which showcases their musical prowess even further, featuring melodies with impressive musicality that capture their essence perfectly.
III begins with a clarion call for connection and understanding, and this message is reinforced throughout the album. From personal realizations of “Breakthrough” to the undeniable muscle-flexing reign of “Pharaoh,” The Winery Dogs continue their knack for crafting catchy hooks, gutbucket grooves, and powerful harmonies that draw listeners in.
This album boasts several tracks which would make perfect single releases, including “Mad World,” which showcases Kotzen’s vocal range while Sheehan’s bass provides energy levels at their peak.
Other songs on the album are equally captivating; for example, “Rise,” an acoustic guitar-driven ballad, exemplifies The Winery Dogs’ ability to capture rock’s essence subtly. Additionally, their final track, “Lorelei,” could serve as an unintentionally humorous surprise on other records but here stands as yet another proof that The Winery Dogs transcend expectations by exceeding listeners’ expectations – an epitome of why listening to The Winery Dogs’ music can only get better with time and listeners appreciate this record more and more every time out!
The Winery Dogs self-produced and mixed their new album with longtime band associate Jay Ruston. Now available on both CD and digital formats, the CD edition includes an instant download of “Xanadu.” Beginning February 15 at Greensburg Pennsylvania Palace Theatre for their 202III World Tour concert tour.
