Byelections outcomes 2022: Counting is underway for meeting seats that went to bypolls throughout six states – Bihar, Haryana, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Odisha. Whereas two seats had been up for polls in Bihar, the relaxation 5 states had one seat every. The BJP has gained three seats – Gopalganj (Bihar), Adampur (Haryana), and Gola Gokrannath (UP).

The RJD’s Neelam Devi has gained the Mokama constituency, the place she defeated Sonam Devi of the BJP. That is the primary election for any meeting seat since JDU’s Nitish Kumar joined arms with the RJD.

“My victory was sure. I had already mentioned that there was no person else in my contest. It was only a formality. Mokama is the land of Parshuram, individuals will not get lured. Vidhayak ji (Anant Singh) served individuals. They’re giving the outcome now,” the RJD’s candidate mentioned. Devi is the spouse of RJD’s baahubali chief Anant Singh, who was disqualified in July after he was convicted in AK-47 rifle restoration case. 

In Gopalganj, BJP’s Kusum Devi defeated Mohan Prasad Gupta of RJD by a slender margin. Devi received 70053 votes with 41.6 per cent vote share whereas Gupta secured 68259 votes with 40.53 per cent votes 

In Haryana’s Adampur, BJP’s Bhavya Bishnoi, son of Kuldeep Bishnoi, gained the election by defeating Congress chief Jai Parkash. Bishnoi received 67492 votes as towards 51752.
