Daniel Radcliffe is reiterating that though he performed hero wizard Harry Potter within the movie franchise tailored from J.Okay. Rowling’s novels, he doesn’t share her controversial views about transgender folks.
In a brand new interview with IndieWire, Radcliffe distanced himself from Rowling, referencing an open letter he issued in 2020 declaring his assist for the trans group within the wake of some tweets issued by Rowling that had been roundly condemned as transphobic.

In his June 2020 open letter revealed the web site of the Trevor Mission (a non-profit devoted to disaster intervention and suicide prevention for LGBTQ folks), .

Referencing his letter, Radcliffe advised IndieWire why he felt compelled to rebuke Rowling.
