Twitter’s most well-known banned person, former President Donald Trump, applauded the platform’s new possession by billionaire Elon Musk, who beforehand mentioned he would not imagine in everlasting suspensions.

“I’m very joyful that Twitter is now in sane arms, and can now not be run by Radical Left Lunatics and Maniacs that actually hate our nation,” Trump wrote on his Reality Social account, a Twitter-like platform run by the Trump Media & Expertise Group.

Trump didn’t deal with the potential for a return to the platform. Musk has mentioned he would elevate Trump’s everlasting suspension, which Twitter put in within the wake of the January 6, 2021 revolt on the U.S. Capitol after its management feared additional violence may stem from Trump’s tweets. Musk mentioned that he favors extra short-term measures.

Trump, for his half, mentioned months in the past that he wouldn’t return to the platform even when Musk reversed the ban. He started his message Friday by touting Reality Social and claiming with out proof or specifics that the younger platform “had greater numbers” final week “than all different platforms, together with TikTok, Twitter, Fb, and the remainder.”

“Twitter should now work arduous to rid itself of all the bots and faux accounts which have harm it so badly,” Trump wrote on Friday. “It will likely be a lot smaller, however higher.”
