Lily-Rose Depp, The Weeknd & Jennie Star in The Idol Trailer

The Idol‘s latest trailer is full of literal idols.
On Oct. 6, HBO dropped the one other tease of Euphoria creator Sam Levinson‘s latest sequence The Idol, set to premiere in 2023. However this time, we’re getting a glimpse of the complete star-studded lineup, which incorporates Lily-Rose Depp, The Weeknd, Blackpink‘s Jennie, Dan Levy, Troye Sivan and Rachel Sennott, to call just a few.
And why, you is likely to be asking, are all these stars coming collectively? To create one other one, clearly. The sequence follows Depp’s Jocelyn, an up-and-coming pop idol, and her difficult relationship with self-help guru Tedros, performed by The Weeknd. Within the trailer, her workforce is frightened about one other “psychotic break” as she will get nearer with the cult chief and rises in fame.
As Tedros blindfolds Jocelyn, he tells her that he wants “full management—irrespective of f–king what.”
Although character descriptions have not but been launched, it seems from the trailer that Jennie will likely be enjoying a fellow pop idol (which clearly is not too removed from her actual life), whereas it looks like Levy, Sivan and Sennott will likely be enjoying varied members of Jocelyn’s workforce. Hank Azaria, Jane Adams, Suzanna Son, Eli Roth, Hari Nef, Da’Vine Pleasure Randolph, Mike Dean, Ramsey and Moses Sumney spherical out the primary solid, with the late Anne Heche showing in a recurring function.
