BUCHAREST (Reuters) – Romanian prosecutors raided staff’ houses and the Romanian unit of Serbian NIS Petrol, managed by Russia’s Gazprom (MCX:) Neft, and have opened a felony investigation into allegations of confidential information leaks, the prosecutors stated.
Contacted by Reuters, the corporate didn’t instantly reply and Gazprom Neft referred Reuters to NIS Petrol for remark.
Anti-organised crime prosecutors stated in an announcement late on Monday they raided the corporate’s places of work and 9 staff’ houses within the capital Bucharest and the western Romanian metropolis of Timisoara in a case that considerations “divulging secret info and the unauthorised switch of digital information”.
